Naturally aspirated cars are allowed ANY AND ALL MODIFICATIONS to get to the power to weight ratio (weight reduction, headers, tunes, tires, specialty parts etc are OK)!!!! If during the season a particular model of car has shown to have an advantage over other models the rules may be adjusted.
***New for 2017-The "UNLIMTED" Class!!! This is a no-holds barred/truly unlimited format of racing. Cars must use an engine from the same manufacturer and "resemble" the original bodywork, other than that the rules are open! Professional drivers are welcomed and teams may use multiple drivers to score points!
Drivers/teams will score points at each event. There will be 10 points given for starting each event (turning a lap during the event). Finishing positions will be determined by fastest eligible laps recorded throughout the day or in designated time attack session. In order to be scored for a session, competitors may not put more than 2 wheels off course---competitor's times who have "gone off" will not score finishing points for that session/times will be null and void. Also competitors who go off MORE than 3 times during the competition day will be ineligible to score finishing points for the event. Competitors will/may be awarded special points by the organizer at any time during the event for things like sportsmanship.
The competitors' best 2 events will be scored towards a year end points championship. If a round is cancelled all competitors will be given maximum points for that round. If an event has started and cut short then the competitors will still be scored on the fastest eligible lap times. Ties in the year end points championship will be decided by event finishing positions. In the event that event finishing positions are equal then laptimes will be considered.
